Italian Myztro Gaming player Marco “vengeurR” Ragusa has secured 1st place in the first stage of Quake Pro League Season 4, therefore locking in the top seed for the World Championship in August.
With a 2-1 victory yesterday against Nikola “serious” Gojic, Ragusa has, with one week to go, already secured Seed 1 in the Weekly stage of Quake Pro League. With a near perfect W/L ratio of 14-1, the Italian will go in to the World Championship at QuakeCon as first seed, securing his spot in the Playoffs with style.
Following behind him is Shane “rapha” Hendrixson, currently with a 12-2 W/L ratio. With one match left to go, the American can win and make it 13-2, but will still not be able to beat Ragusa’s one-loss-statement. Hendrixson is, interestingly enough, the only player vengeurR lost against; a 1-2 finish in Week 8.
The following seeds are still not set in stone, but it is already determinable that six players will go to the Playoffs at the World Championship, as well as five who will go to the Group Stage, as seen below.
Green = Playoffs
Red = Group Stage (relegation)
