TastySpleen's 202V2 Kicking off Tomorrow with #QuakeChampions

Lots of things to look forward to this year for Quake like Bi-Monthly TastyCups from TastySpleen. The first TastyCup will be tomorrow Saturday January 22nd starting with the NA region at 17:00 EAST | 23:00 CET. EU will be the following day Sunday the 23rd at 20:00 CET | 14:00 EAST. This is only the beginning as TastySpleen will be hosting Organ Grinder during the other months. So, January Quake TastyCup, and February will be Organ Grinder. Alternating every month for the rest of 202V2. No information has been given yet for the first Organ Grinder for 202V2, but that information should be on the way shortly. Follow TastySpleen’s socials below for more immediate information regarding these two year long events. What a great time to be an Arena Shooter fan.

Format: Double Elimination If we have more than 8 teams, UB matches until UB Semis will be Bo1. Otherwise, only the first round of the UB will be Bo1. Grand Final will be played in a 2xBo3 format.

20 minute Timelimit
50 Fraglimit

Map Picks:

BO1:

Lower seed bans the first Champion from the match (Neither team can choose this Champion for all maps)
Higher seed bans the second Champion from the match (Neither team can choose this Champion for all maps)
Higher seed removes a map from the five maps.
Lower seed removes a map from the remaining four maps.
Higher seed removes a map from the remaining three maps.
Lower seed removes a map from the remaining two maps.
Final map left in the pool to be played.

BO3:

Lower seed bans the first Champion from the match (Neither team can choose this Champion for all maps)
Higher seed bans the second Champion from the match (Neither team can choose this Champion for all maps)
Higher seed chooses the first map to be played in the set.
Lower seed chooses the second map to be played in the set.
Higher seed removes a map from the remaining three maps.
Lower seed removes a map from the remaining two maps.
Final map left in the pool is the third map in the set.

Match Streaming: In both brackets, one game per round will be streamed until the semifinals, which will be delayed so both can receive coverage. If you are asked to delay your match until the stream is ready, please do so.

Prize Distribution:

1st: 50%
2nd: 35%
3rd: 15%

Additional prize money may be donated to jehar@tastyspleen.net – 100% of donations will go directly to the next week’s prize pool, in a 50/35/15 split once the pool reaches more than $100 USD.
