The biggest Quake tournament of the year has been confirmed to be held at QuakeCon 2023 in Texas, USA during August 10-13.
In a post by QuakeCon on Twitter, the organizer confirms that QuakeCon 2023 will be an in-person event held at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine. The festival is an iconic event for Quake-lovers, dating back as early as 1996.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, QuakeCon held the event online for three years in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and the same went for the prestigious $150,000 World Championship in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, last minute news revealed that the 2022 Pro League Finals would be held in Bucharest, Romania, however as a closed studio event only for players.
This year the conclusion of the fourth season of the Pro League will be a spectator event again, returning home to where the curcuit once started in the 2019 kick-off.
Another post will follow with more in-depth details about the festival as a whole.
