Good Very Late Evening Quakers. moonbeam is new group bringing us weekly tournaments to our favorite game Quake Champions. This week will start cup #2 of their Duel Tournament series. This Saturday August, 24th 2PM EAST. The tournament is opened up to all players including PROS! This tournament has a $100 Starting PrizePool every week.

DOUBLE ELIMINATION – WINNERS & LOSERS BRACKET

All matches in the winner’s and loser’s brackets will be best of 3 and grand finals will be best of 5 (with a map advantage to the winner of the winner’s bracket. quake.tools already has this built in to the moonbeam template).

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:

You must have all of the champions unlocked.
Your ping to NA servers cannot be higher than 110ms to NA Central.
- If a server can’t be decided:

Each player picks their preferred server and notes their ping for that server.
Calculate the ping difference for each server by subtracting the player with the lower ping from the player with the higher ping.
The server with the minimum ping difference is the server that will be used.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

If you aren’t present (or are unable to solve technical problems) within 10 minutes of your match starting, you will receive a technical defeat.
Twitch ToS extends to the tournament. If it’s not allowed on Twitch, it’s not allowed in the tournament.
Anti-competitive conduct, such as intentionally losing games, may result in disqualification.

STREAMING RULES:

All participants and streamers of the tournament can restream each other.
You must invite official streamers to the lobby at their request.
Stream delay is not required, but a 30 second delay may help prevent stream sniping.

HOW TO PLAY YOUR MATCH:

Make sure your Challonge display name is set to your in-game nickname (see here) so that you can add each other to a party in the game. It also helps if your discord name is the same as Challonge, and your in-game nickname.
Try to have the game launched at least 5 minutes before your first game, one of you will need to invite the other to a party and set up a lobby (10-minute time limit duel with maximum frag limit) with the maps that you determine through your draft. Keep an eye on the bracket and make sure to connect with your opponent when their match is reported.
Create a session on quake.tools (moonbeam cup 0 -> Winners Bracket for all matches except the Grand Final, which will be played on moonbeam cup 0 -> Grand Final) and draft your game.
Report the results of your match in the relevant bracket here. Do this ASAP so that we can progress the bracket.
