Admin It has been 25 years since Quake 1 was released into the wide world, and since then it has stolen the hearts, enhanced the lives, and propelled it’s community into new directions they never dreamed possible. For some, it inspired them to become more than the consumers of the worlds we play and gave opportunities to develop career skills along the way. For others, it was the driving force for them to join a community of people that became not just friends but family. It has brought people together in ways that only cheesy Hallmark movies make normal. I have shared a bit of my story with Quake here for last years anniversary, but each year this day comes and I am reminded that we are just one bit of the affected community that this game has ensconced. Cheers to 25 years!
For the anniversary Bethesda made a nice little post about Quake. Plus we get some Quake Champions items and a map in the upcoming update. Keep your eyes out for the new map, Quake 1’s DM6, and weapons coming in early July!
