The 32 year old Estonian swept aside all opposition and didn’t drop a single map in the 2nd Global Qualifier for QWC, eventually taking down Yup in two maps in the Grand Finals (Ruins of Sarnath 19-6, Molten Falls 6-5).
After losing his spot in the Pro League last year following a last place finish at Quake World Championship 2023, former b100 and Dragonborn eSport player Kirill “cnz” Golubjov will have another shot at making it into the curcuit at this year’s LAN finals in August.
The 2nd Global Qualifier had 36 attendants, and cnz took down several notable players en route to the Finals, such as ins, Keltz, Almaril and phaze, all with 2-0 scorelines.
The 3rd Global Qualifier will take place on March 25. To see the bracket from today’s tournament, click here.
