Good Morning Quakers! We have recently got a fair bit of QuakeCon 2025 information that will be broken down into 2 articles this article, and a Schedule article. A list of both Food Trucks, and Partners has been published. Many from the previous years are returning with also some new folks.

Food Trucks will technically be broken down into 3 schedules. Note that Food trucks are not schedule to be on site Wednesday. Thursday through Saturday will have 2 schedules 11AM to 5PM, and 530-11PM, so food trucks will be on site for about 12 hours those days. Sunday the last day food trucks will only be present 11AM to 2PM. The 2 pervious years had different trucks for the first part of the day, and different trucks for the 2nd part of the day, so I expect that will happen again this year.
Check out the links below for more information on each truck:
- Halal Mother Truckers
- 90s BBQ
- LoveSong Kitchen TX
- Gepetto Pizzas
- La Bandida Street Food
- Doss Tastebudz
- The Butcher’s Son
- Alberti Churrascaria Food Truck
- Hamburgottis
- F & F Express
Besides the food trucks the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention center does have several restuarnts on site you can check out here.

- Zeppole Italian style restaurant. Have not been.
- Riverwalk Cantina. Menu to order, or buffet. Pretty great place, and easily seats large parties.
- Texan Station Sports Bar & Grill. General American style food. Not bad. Sometimes the Riverwalk Cantina was randomly closed, and we would end up here.
- Paradise Springs Kitchen & Bar. Have not been
- Old Hickory Steakhouse! Save the best for last folks. Try my Steakhouse you will not regret it. It was closed last year. Nothing like a steak, and an Old Fashioned that you deserve.
- There’s also a Starbucks, and couple “Markets” on site, but nothing to write home about.
In the event Highlights section it lists Papa Johns while supplies last. If its on site, and open when everything else is closed this may come in clutch.
- Papa Johns – Grab a slice and some swag while supplies last!
Inside the BYOC last year were concession booths for Peco’s Petes (A local favorite), Bawls Energy (Long time QuakeCon Supporters), and Redbull (current Prize sponsor).
Lastly outside the BYOC the hotel ran a food concession booth, and down the hall they had a mini pop up pizza tent.

QuakeCon is going to be larger this year with what appears to be one, or even 2 more halls. On top of this the upstairs portion is also expanding with the Mainstage now being on the 3rd floor. Won’t go over to much the legend breaks everything down quite nicely. Keep in mind that finals for the Quake Champions Duel will be upstairs this time not downstairs. This downstairs portion is now something called the Sidequest zone with board games and Vendor booths. Honestly nice addition. The mainstage last year was really loud even though I was across the BYOC. I hope this keeps the BYOC a bit more quite, and more focused on the BYOC aspect.

If you are feeling generous please think about giving back while at QuakeCon:

If you are going to QuakeCon now is a great time to start making a packing list, and double checking your itinerary especially if you are coming from out of country. If you are coming from out of country please make sure all your documents are up to date before you travel. If you are traveling from within the States please make sure your ID has been upgraded to a REAL ID issued by your state, as they are now required in the state of Texas.
Please also double check your BYOC seat information, and check the Map. depending on where you sit you may need up to a 40 foot Ethernet cable. If you forget anything you will probably have to rely on the generosity of your neighbors, or make the trip to Microcenter, or BestBuy some distance away from the Event Center.
