All players will end up at 9 matches played. Match win/loss weighs the most in the rankings, followed by Map win/loss. If players end up in a tie, their individual results will be compared.
If we look at the current Americas standing and the matches going to be played. We see that place 7 to 10 are going to battle today. At place 10 we have ZenAku, who is assured of having to compete in the relegation matches. If ZenAku wins his match against dooi with a 3 – 0 and Effortless looses his without taking one map. Then Effortless and dooi still have one more map advantage over ZenAku.
Between place 7th, 8th and 9th it’s going to be a much tighter race. DramiS placed 7th, has one Match win advantage over dooi and Effortless, who are placed 8th and 9th at this moment. His map wins is missing some punch though. His place is in danger when he looses his match against Effortless and dooi wins from ZenAku. In this situation Effortless and dooi will end up higher, they will tie with DramiS in Match win/loss but beat him in Map win/loss.
Dooi and Effortless aren’t playing each other today, but they are still competing for relegation. Dooi has it easier because he has beaten Effortless this stage. So dooi has to loose and Effortless has to win for this to change. If they have the same match outcome today, they will be tied. Then Effortless needs to have taken one map more then dooi at the end of the day to escape relegation.
On the EU side it is more clear cut. Toxjq can’t escape relegation. But between cnz at place 7 and COOLLERZ at place 9 there’s still a competition for relegation. COOLLERZ can switch places with cnz if he takes two maps from Av3k in his match today.
