Quake Live Insta CTF Alpha league. Starting October 13th.

Good News Boomers a new League just for you! Quake Live is getting a new Instagib Capture the Flag League. This league will have teams of 3 fighting against each other for the next 2 weeks in the arenas. Signups are still open until tomorrow Friday October 10th. With the League starting Monday October 13th.

This group is also hosting Quake Live Pickups in their discord, so if you want to practice, or just be part of the community then join their discord.

Match Format

3v3 iCTF
Game time: 10 minutes (no capture limit)
Matches: Best of 3
Final match: Best of 5

Team Assignment

Teams will be randomly assigned, but balanced to ensure fair matches

Bitter Dungeons
Crude Crossings
Divided Crossings
Feel The Base
Future Crossings

Map Selection

Teams agree on map order or decide via coin toss
Each team may choose a server (ALPHA 🇵🇱 or CHARLIE 🇩🇪 ) for their map

For the third map (if score is 1:1):

From the three remaining unplayed maps, each team bans one map
Ban order is decided by agreement or coin toss
The last remaining map is played as the third map
Server choice for the third map is decided by agreement or coin toss

Scheduling

Teams schedule matches at mutually convenient times
League duration: 2 weeks (extensions possible if really needed)

Results

Teams must submit screenshots of each match to the ⁠No Access
Players must have their QLStats.net account set to public
All players are required to record a demo of their matches

Conduct & Penalties

Cheating, trolling, or otherwise disturbing the league may result in disqualification and/or ban
League admins have the final say and may make decisions at their discretion

League Format

Depending on the number of teams, the league will be played as either:
Double Elimination (Winners/Losers Bracket)
Round Robin + Single Elimination (group stage followed by one-elimination bracket)
