After 2,5 years of international inactivity, Russian Quake legend Anton “Cooller” Singov is set to make a comeback to competition.
The 37-year-old has teamed up with 22-year-old Daniil “DancheZzor” Zheleznov under the team name “shaitan brothers”, joining 19 other teams (so far) for KeenCon’s first Team Series event. Teams attending the event have a chance to earn points that will later determine who will get an immediate invite to the Spanish organizer’s €10,000 LAN in Barcelona this November. The series will run every month up until before the event, and teams can collect points in each tournament as well as earn money from a prize pool of €350 every month.
After Singov was secluded from the Pro League curcuit following the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the United States Treasory Department embargo, the Russian put his focus elsewhere. Since then he has only attended RESP‘s national events, and has not appeared in any notable international online Quake tournaments.
