A New Community for the Latin American Quake Scene has emerged: Academia de Rangers!

Howdy Folks & Good Afternoon! While Quake Champions thrives on its international pull sometimes it is easier for local communities to build themselves up. In this case a community has been established: “Academia de Rangers” to help pull the Latin American Quake Scene together! This new server will allow established players to become a captain to help guide, and train new, or returning players called Rangers in the discord. This method allows for new players to have as few barriers to entry as possible. People who have come from Counter Strike, Overwatch, or MOBAs like Dota, and League may find it a bit daunting to try, and learn all the ins and outs of our preferred Arena Shooter. Academia de Rangers will also be hosting Events, Setting up Challenges for members, and Creating VODs for review, and helpful tips for the community as time goes on. What is “Academia de Rangers”?:

Academia de Rangers is an organization intended to support Quake Champions players, mainly new or low-ranking ones. Open to any interested person who can join the project and contribute with their knowledge.

How does “Academia de Rangers” work?:

The organization has two distinguished roles. Players who wish to contribute their knowledge obtain the role of Capitán.
These are responsible for guiding lower-level players, nicknamed Rangers, in the various game mechanics, who usually replicate the knowledge acquired to their peers.
The work methodology is based on tutorial videos created by the Captains themselves, events or challenges and VOD reviews.

“Temporadas” (Seasons):

Occasionally challenges or events are proposed at “Academia de Rangers”. Which are known as Temporada (season) or Edición (edition).
In these the Rangers are put to the test, who obtain prizes or rewards for their achievements.
The “Temporada” conclude with the “Evento Final”, a definitive test that the most daring participants must face in a specific “Temporada” tournament.

Who makes up the project, who makes it up?:

There is no leader as such. It is the community players themselves who propose and the rest democratically decide the conditions of the events or challenges of future “Academia de Rangers” Temporadas” (seasons).

Goals of “Academia de Rangers”:

Academia de Rangers seeks to keep the community active by proposing didactic practices either individually or in groups.
It also aims to establish a manual in Spanish that serves as knowledge for new players and fans who wish to improve their performance in Quake Champions.

We also have a Discord server that allows us to more precisely categorize the content created and also serves to disseminate and manage the events proposed each “Temporada” (season).
